I liked the idea but something went wrong when I tried to upload a photo.
therazorbladeCould not fully test (Error uploading image: null value in column “id” violates not-null constraint). How is the Twitter feed related to the map? It takes a while to fully load. What is the login for? How is this not just throwing random pictures on a map?
Sorry for the bad experience, I’ll look at the server log to find this uploading problem. The feed tells about the last images uploaded. The performance problem was a very bad design decision, we should not transfer images using websockets in the future. The upload is OK but downloading images using WS is a terrible idea.
The picures on the map would be searchable by tag, enabling the user to see only street art related to his interests, but the tag search was not finished during the KO.
therazorbladeAfter playing with it a bit more I want able to upload a picture. It took a while for me to be able to figure out how to see the picture because the pins for upload and view look the same. Got a few new error messages while clicking around (unique key violation). Overall, this is a nice idea but needs a lot more work to be useful.
visnuputility – maybe conflated with low innovation (because I can view photos on a map from bing or flickr), but not amazingly more useful than either of those to me. design – I like that the map is the focal point. I would’ve made the map the ENTIRE screen though since it’s so central. innovation – like I said before, this has been done before many times. completeness – map worked nicely along with zooming in and out and address search. found photos near me, but I couldn’t upload.
purincessFeels like it needs a companion iPhone app for easier uploading. Right now I have to manually upload each photo from my computer…which isn’t a lot of fun.
ericfloNeat idea and it works well. I like the global feed so I can see what others are uploading. The design could use some work though, seeing yet another Google Map interface is a bit tired.
Fun app, but the design wasn’t really visually appealing to me but it still serves it purpose. I had to rank you guys a bit lower because after all.. It’s a photo uploading service.. We just had a major boom with twitter based photo services.. now a location / facebook driven one isn’t that
mapeI really like the idea and the UI was easy to use, sadly I couldn’t upload an image (the upload image seems to be disabled). With some extra work and more people using it it could be a great way to find new interesting spots.
technoweenieCool idea for exploring a new city. Even supports animated gifs :)

nelsonkchengI like the idea of this (explore cool art / pictures based on my location). From the main screen — it wasn’t clear if this specific to street art or just photos that were geotagged in general. That being said, I feel like the app is built around getting people to upload art — as opposed to people enjoying art already uploaded (which might then get them to participate and upload art themselves.) Also, there was nothing seemingly fundamentally (design or otherwise) which screamed street art to me — which I would’ve liked.
sh1mmerIt’s a simple idea that seems to fit a niche well. I like the design it’s clean and simple, but I wish it worked better on a phone where this would be great.
chrissharkeyThought calling the latest version of Safari “crappy” was fairly unprofessional. The application itself seems quite useful as people interested in street art would have a reliable way of documenting the locations. Didn’t really see where the unique features of node were used.
Te features of node will appear only when there are multiple uploads at the same time, then the image feed and the map will update in all visitors' browsers. BTW sorry for the message, bad taste and little time testing cross browser.
I can’t get it to load, just get Internal Server Error. Sounds like a cool concept.
