Read your friends' tweets out loud and add a new personal dimension to Twitter.
Sure, tweets can have personality, but a 140 character limit puts a ceiling on that. Add a new dimension to your friends' tweets by dusting off your oratory skills and interpreting them in a unique way. Be dramatic or frivolous. Play some Tchaikovsky in the background. Your friend (or maybe a random celebrity you follow) will be delighted (and probably confused) to hear their ephemeral musing portrayed vocally for all eternity. Tweets on Tape is a fun and creative meta layer for Twitter. Try it today.

I promise that it doesn't tweet anything unless you explicitly command it to. But, I understand the reluctance to authorize. I encourage you to take a look at #TweetsOnTape on twitter, https://twitter.com/search?q=%23tweetsontape&src=typd&f=realtime, to see some examples of the app in use.
Did you consider waiting to request an authorization until the user had more context about why the request was being made?
We were shooting more for the fun than the practical.
Glad you liked it.
