Falling

Sadly we did not finish, but please vote for our amazing artist Eric Deford (link coming soon). Falling is a card game developed by James Ernest of Cheap Ass Games. The game is simple. You and your opponents are falling from the sky. Be the last to hit the ground and for a few brief moments you will know that you were a better person than your opponents. Then you’ll hit the ground too.

Judging Instructions

To launch a game on your own you need 3 browsers (actually you need Chrome, Firefox and incognito mode in one of those 2 browsers). Note, if joining from different browsers gets you 3 games instead of 1, that is a bug I just discovered and means I need to restart the node service. Please email jamesw@gmail.com and I will get to it ASAP!
Any random email addresses will work as long as they have a period and an @.
We didn’t even bother trying IE, cause “yuck”.
Official rules are here and aren’t as daunting as they appear.
Basics:
– There are no turns. The dealer deals and the players all play at the same time.
– You can have 1 card in Hand at a time. – Cards are dealt to you in “Stacks”. To put a card in your Hand, click on a Stack. – The “Rider” cards ‘Hit’, ‘Split’ and ‘Skip’ affect how you are dealt cards.
– To play a Rider, it must be in your Hand, then click on your Rider area.
– All other Cards are “Action” cards and affect Riders and can be played on your own Riders or an opponents Rider. When an Action card is in your hand, click on an opponents Rider area to play the card.
– The “Stop” Action card can either destroy any Rider, or if it is in your hand when you are dealt a “Ground” card, the Stop will be taken by the server and you will avoid hitting the Ground. If you have another Stack, you will then be dealt the same Ground card and die anyway, so PLAN YOUR STOPS WELL!
