jacobquistAwesome idea; also very cool graphics.
mayumiconthe idea of simple presentation building is good but this seems somewhat limited and also I’m concerned about all of the animation since i generally avoid animations in my presentation development (and have heard this from others as well). However, I like the simple interface and the fact that I can see the results directly. also, would be nice to have a collaboration tool. +1 on the mobile presentation capabilities
I really dig the concept. I like the very simple markup you’re using for the presentation content, though some sort of markup reference would be handy.
Not sure I see myself using it but besides a few very small glitches I have to say very well spent 48 hours!
There are several alternatives to this tool, from google docs to prezi, but I really appreciated the elegant design and easy of use. Excellent!
Great innovation on frontend, but I’m not sure how this is innovative with Node.js
oh. Have you seen the remote control? When you hit “View” you get a url and a code, so you can control the presentation with your phone.
Ratings changed ;)
I’m still staying at 3 on Utility, because, while useful, I already have Keynote and the Keynote remote on my phone. If you had more time, I’m sure you could push the enveloped on making this better than the tools I already have.
steadicatAwesome. This is the presentation tool I wish I’d made. I’m definitely going to use it for my next presentation.
Very complete product. Demo was great, but trying to make my own was a bit tough since I unfamiliar with the syntax. But overall, great product!
awesome execution! i may actually use it.
May you please add to description how you used node.js in your project?
I love seeing apps with a attention to detail. It’s certainly a lot of work to have this done in 48 h even with a big team like yours. So gl in the competition!
Seriously cool idea. I could see myself using this. Didn’t see much node'yness though.

visnuputility – I definitely want to use this for something, but I don’t know what yet. design – very pretty. props to fontsquirrel. demos very well. innovation – seen a lot of these types of “visualizations” before, but this makes it brain-dead easy to make one for myself. completeness – didn’t work in my safari, but worked well in chrome. some flashing still. left lorem ipsum text on the front page. props for the smoke and mirrors on design packs. would’ve wanted a way to download some form of the presentation at the end though.
sh1mmerI like the design a lot, and this is clearly useful. I would probably use. You guys also did a great job of executing the project in the time. I would I marked you down on innovation because I feel like there were more things you could have thought about doing to make best use of Node. While the phone controls worked well, I don’t feel like you really pushed the envelope with Node’s capabilities.
Thanks sh1mmer, this was a really fair feedback. One of the next features would have been operation transformation on top of node.
maraksquiresThanks for the detailed feedback! We love you too.

Okay.
I like free and open-source things. I would have given higher votes if you had thought more about the users and less about building a business. At least thats the feel I got from the project.
Sorry, but I just didn’t enjoy this project. Nothing personal.
I like the auto generated slide show idea, and it is executed well, I’m just not sure how this is a node project…
By far the best of the “slideshow” tools built this year. Pros: • Phone control support (Major kudos for this) • Easy to use styles • Presentations don’t look like Powerpoint or Keynote knockoffs. Cons: • Would love to be able to make my own styles, modify styles, or extend themes with additional styles (couldn’t see where to do that). • Style names could be a bit more semantic. How does Loud relate to Hot in a way that is going to make sense to me when I’m wrapping up a last minute presentation? • There was a LOT of text overlap in Safari 5 which made most slides unusable. I can supply screenshots if you plan on continuing to work on this to help you debug. (I know in 48 hours it’s hard to build and completely debug cross browser.) Good job all around. Just needs more time to knock out the bugs. Wouldn’t be surprised to see someone using this at next years sxsw.
Awesome! | |||
I was kind of disappointed that you guys didn’t show off some more of node’s capabilities for this one. I guess I was expecting some real-time collaboration. It’s certainly a useful service though!
We used nodejs for remote controlling the presentations with a phone. (in presentation mode, if you click the view it gives you a code and a url) Does that count as nodejsnes? Real-time editing is high on our planed feature list!
Stunning! | |||
therazorbladeThe demo is beautiful and the markup is pretty expressive but I don’t see many use cases of these kinds of presentations. It is great for making an intro deck to get people excited. So less pitch and more intro.
Nice idea! It makes it pretty easy to create animated motion-graphic style word presentations. The downsides I can see are that you can only make a certain style of presentation, and the format of “marking up” the presentations isn’t that inviting or appealing compared to visually composing something.
Very useful. Polished. Nice job.
You really did a great job with this app. Awesome concept, and awesome results. Our team wasted valuable time with login and url schemes and you nailed it doing real time saving with push state. I just wish I could have some more convenient way to save my own presentations. You really deserve the attention you are getting. Please, visit or team too. That’s great synergy between our apps.
Wow, wow, WOW! Give me support for monospaced text (for code) and full-window mode, and I’ll use this for my next conference talk.
When is it? ;) We are already improving it offline, but we can’t touch this version.
mattpodwysockiPretty interesting, although not sure how people would take to having to hand code some of that. With some polish you could have something here.
Good job! I like the idea and how it is implemented.
cramforceAwesome! Great execution. With some polishing this could be really popular!
Quite fun, loved the look and feel of the design, fairly innovative although not sure how general public will take to putting in the “code” to make the slideshow work, not very complete as no autoplaying, no other themes and you can’t save your presentation unless you save the code. Other than that, I enjoyed playing with it :)
We are really sorry that the auto save feature was not working for you as intended. We will improve on that. Thank you for your vote.
swoodietime consuming to get just right, but fun process. i like the added touch of being able to control it with your phone – though i didn’t actually try the feature to see how it worked. but this would be a fun tool to actually try and use in a real setting.
Awesome! | |||
christkvVery cool presentation generation application and I would definitively use it myself.
Awesome ! | |||
Useful! | |||
Really great tool! Probably one of the better presentation-based entries out there. I like the design but there were a few occasional hiccups here and there with animations and transitioning slides. Neat idea adding a phone-based remote! I might be alone in this but I would’ve preferred being able to use a standard markup language like Markdown rather than custom tags. Not that the custom tags are bad or anything, but a help page to see all of them would’ve been nice!
Awesome fun tool. Very promising.
Very good tool, definitely plan on using this.
b00giZmDeeply impressed with this one! It feels pretty mature for an 48 hours project. The parser works great and the presentation is just awesome (except for some minor graphical glitches). Bonus points for the smartphone remote “addon” ;)
Beautiful. I would totally use this!
Absolutely brilliant. A really, really useful tool, delivered extremely well.
Super useful. I hate making presentations, and this will truly make it easier. I like the stunning design, and also how easy it is to make the presentation. The constraints also make the presentations better. I also like how you tested prices for themes, but would like to see some additional themes. Hope you keep working on it post competition!
