mayumiconSame ideia of my team’s project: social video. :) Everyone of us knows that things are going in this direction and we’re trying to find the right approach to it. The design is good until the actual video room! Video chatting can be promising, we don’t know but you guys need to keep it up! Nice work!
AudreyLoInteresting concept. I can see this as a way of connecting friends, but perhaps add some depth to the app as well. Beyond you being able to watch your friends, perhaps offer a way to entice them to keep coming back like how social media site like Facebook have “poking”. Overall, good idea! Keep up the great work!
Impressive to be built within 48h. In Safari at least, bug results in two duplicate video thumbnails added per unique video url added to queue. Keeping viewing history would be helpful. Though social video concept exists (e.g. VHX, G+, Showyou), high potential app. Nice work.
Still pretty creepy. :) I had to inspect and hack the CSS to get through the Adobe dialog. I know from my job that dealing with that Adobe settings dialog is one of the worst experiences on the internet. Consider doing something to setup the viewer windows in a larger space, then transition to viewing thumbnails. All in all, solid execution.
There is other entry driv.in if I’m not wrong with the same proposal. I like their design best. Giving same notes for utility, inovation and completeness, but lowering the design note.
Hi Urubutan, thanks for the love! Driv.in is pretty cool too! We do have similarities, but what we also want to emphasize was with video chat added to rooms, you get a personable experience with your closest friends.
Again, thanks!
Great design and great execution, but it’s been done before but still doing it in 48h is impressive great project.
chrismatthieusimply awesome!

jasonhIt’s fun and fairly well designed (pretty inviting) for having been built in 48 hours. Kudos on that. In terms of the innovation category, I feel as though there are a few sites already doing this (Synchtube, etc). It’s overall a pretty complete entry, though; for what it’s worth, I had trouble allowing my camera as I couldn’t click the button (box is eclipsed ;( ).
list of viewers would be nice.
__mario__Good job. | |||
therazorbladeCould not get the video to work. The Flash dialog was buried under other panels and too low on the screen. When following a link, it asked to login but then did not go to that room.
I can see this being used for online lectures with recorded video. There could be study groups! FF 6.0 rendered link bar over the Flash allow button. Videos were being added to queue twice by both users. Refresh removed the duplicates. Going to a room link when not logged in goes to page with almost no indication that the issue is you need to click the connect with FB button. Other than that it’s a cool app! Congrats guys!
It has a lot of potential in that it feels personalized. Nice job. :)
mdeitersThe idea is great! I was able to get a friend in a room and add videos. Unfortunately we couldn’t get the videos to play. There seems to be a bug where adding a video adds it twice.
Awesome app. You can talk to your friends and evaluate videos. This can work in a lot of different domains! Watch sports or e-sports and talk analysis. It could also be for education. Great job!!!
Ran into some usability issues. Was using Chrome and could not adjust my Flash settings even after expanding my window. Also, for the video itself, I noticed that the google ads that run in YT videos were blocking the camera views of my friends and I couldn’t access the “Share with friends” link since it was being blocked. I like the idea and could be fun especially if there could be a way to always connect with the same friends that I know are interested in the same types of videos/humor.
