Builds HTML slideshows with WYSIWYG template editing, and an editor to manage / preview slides. Also can embed and comment on slides, and watch what other people have made.
Works best on Firefox, Chrome also works, except some minimal styling. IE likely does not work at all.

willconantThis is a solid entry. Some things are great like logging in with twitter and the cool theme customization process. The actual slide editor seems less fully baked.
I didn’t see any actual WYSIWYG elements in the sense that once you’d defined the visual, you were still using HTML – but on the whole, it works quite well. Impressive.
erniehacksGood concept and the functionality is generally in place. The decision to include a gallery of recent slide shows is a good one, though the tutorials are a bit hard to follow and the “style” step of the process isn’t obvious – I initially thought I was creating the slideshow rather than styling it. I also wish the create and preview panes were visible simultaneously. This app suffers a bit from putting it’s own design ahead of user need. The creation and sharing of content is the essential functionality of the slide show and should be the primary functionality. Styling the slide show is a secondary need and is a challenging concept for users, so its placement as a blocking step in the creation flow is a bit awkward.

steadicatAmbitious project. Maybe too ambitious? In its current incarnation it places too much emphasis on the theming and very little on the actual slide creation: shame it just falls back to raw HTML, with no WYSIWYG or images.
I liked the idea, but did not liked the design very much. It has all the needed features, but I just didn’t liked the design …
remAnother slide tool. Fairly mediocre, did the job it was supposed to do, but I did like that you could export your slide deck – that’s a nice touch. There were missing images on the exported slides (left and right images) and there was a JS error, but otherwise worked. Utility points for the export.
Great work I love it dead useful!
mstinaleeEasy to use. Useful. Like simple design. However, what’s the advantage of using this vs. PPT, Keynote, or Prezi?
PPT only runs on Windows machines with MSOffice installed, Keynote only runs on Macs that have Keynote install, and Prezi isn’t really a “slideshow” tool as much as it is an animated presentation tool.
This is intended to be a tool for someone who wants to put together a quick, simple presentation they can be sure will work even if they have to use an unfamiliar computer to present.
therazorbladeThis is a really nice interface to deck.js. The theme setup wizard works really well. The provided themes are not very interesting and picking based on numbers (with preview after you click) isn’t ideal. Could use some pre-populated text in even new slide to help quickly create a deck.
ireneinkyuEasy to use and smooth. A “back” feature would be helpful in moving between the various views. I like the different features and can see this being useful.
Another slideshow wizard. This time its WYSIWYG, so no need to write code, and easy on the eyes.
elizabethchaCool! The app was very intuitive and easy to use. I liked the various customizations you offered and especially liked the slide show experience!
samykamkarThis was cool. Some suggestions: color matching is off for some buttons no scrollbar in the embed iframe if your browser is too short prevent JS from running
Awesome! | |||
Really useful and everything seemed to be working nicely. Don’t really like the design and its not really a new idea.
jedschmidt+1: easy to use. auth is seamless. surprisingly complete, all the way to embeds and exports. good use of a bunch of technologies. -1: view links for followers just re-render own profile.
ekryskiThis app is very well put together and I really like the idea. The concept has been done before but having a Node.js slideshow app is very cool. I really like the minimal CSS. It looks very sharp. Overall, for what the app does it is very polished. A nice feature would be to be able to go full screen. Nice work!
I like the concept! There are already some tools like this out there but I think what you have done look pretty good for a 48h of work!
