Nice effort. I'm impressed with how much you got done.

I'm not convinced this is much of an advance over email, despite your claims otherwise.

What would be really cool would be to have the software sort out the meeting time for us, something like this project from 12 years ago (which I understand failed, but is perhaps worth revisiting): http://www.hpl.hp.com/techreports/2002/HPL-2002-55R1.pdf

Superb! A serious and potential competitor to Doodle for scheduling.

Interesting idea (like Doodle but with places). Some UI work and mostly comes across as a form that many people can fill out. Adding functionality to select matches on location and time (for instance, some times work for me at one place but not at others in the options list), and ability to add more people/append. Could be good if you keep at it.

I thought Rally was a really interesting way of solving a common problem we all face regularly. One thing I would like to see experimented with is better integration with existing calendar solutions.

For example, one could imagine allowing each potential attendee to login, provide access to their calendar and find free meeting times that don't overlap where they can all meet. This might ease the manual decision process of selecting a time as inevitably you are going to go back to your own calendar to see how free you are for suggested times.

It's like Google Form but better on meeting scheduling~

Wow, first of all... awesome video! How on earth did you put that together so quickly?

Responsive design works well for me. I didn't test on a mobile device but I can see from resizing my browser that it's going to work well on mobile.

Minor critique: homepage is a bit too busy. I doubt people are going to read all that text before clicking "start your rally". Honestly, I didn't read it all.

Love the simplicity of the "Create your rally" form. Possibly could be clearer what data is optional. Possibly hide those fields until I'm interested in seeing them. You might learn that "Places" and "Questions" are rarely used and they could go under an "Advanced" section.

I love the date and time entry. One of the better datetime input controls I've seen on the web. How do I enter an end time? Or an event duration?

The questions feature is a really nice addition. Can't believe you had time to implement that with all the other stuff.

Nice idea, and site looks great.

Could do with a little more social like twitter and facebook but I can see that would be pretty easy to add.

    Great work.

This is cool, definitely has product potential with some polish!

  • I enjoyed the date picker. Timezone and other customizations for comments and multiple-choice answers were nice touches. The design can be refined further, but it gets high marks for staying out of my way. It's a great start. Not requiring emails and the use of links is great. I've seen many attempts at this at other hackathons but this is the most complete and well done.

I like the application, a good alternative to doodle, which I am using alot. I like that I can add custom questions and more than just one poll to an entry. I encountered no bugs and the usability was nice.

I gotta admit, I wasn't impressed after the video, but then I actually tried it. This really is a kick-ass improvement on the whole schedule a meeting thing. Able to handle an indeterminate number of invitees and combine poling is pretty cool.

I hate when people judging an entry say "You should add...", or "if only it had..." but I'm pretty excited about this and I just can't help it. If you could generate a list of time slots and people could reserve one on a first come/first serve basis I'd pay $ for this right now

The design is very simple and easy to use. I love it. When i tried, the share link to other contacts does not work.

When picking times, maybe specifying a time range is more useful than starting from scratch. Once first time window is selected you should start next choice with the first.

Place selection without map? Seems incomplete. I did not see real time updates with other people's choices. Seems of limited utility, even compared to standard scheduling (accept / decline / propose alternative time) common to google calendar for example.

I have wanted something like this for awhile. Its always a pain going back and forth for 3 or 4 emails just to get a time and place settled on. The thing that I think is lacking is integration with my calendar. I want to be able to have it look at my calendar and already know when I'm free, then maybe I could subtract out times that I thought wouldn't work.

Design is clean and neat but a little unpolished.

I'll be trying this out for my next meeting. Hope you keep working on it!

Not sure about this one - very similar to Doodle Poll (http://doodle.com) ?

Thanks for checking it out. We were hoping to build a tool that had more of a business focus. Something a bit more corporate than doodle. Hopefully, we achieved this goal.

First up from a design perspective, you guys absolutely nailed it. Not having to create an account to use the site was refreshingly wonderful. Also the date time picker you used was great - will definitely take a look at using that in the future :)

While this may not have been the most innovative entry (at least in my opinion) the level of polish more than made up for it.

I felt that it was nicely polished and thus felt complete, though my only comment is that there was quite a bit of delay while waiting for the app to load initially and also between page actions. That said I am running off airport wifi at the moment so that's probably a contributing factor.

    Great work :)

In short - I love it, hopefully the site lives long after the competition is over. I'd be interested in using this.

I love the concept - and I love the link-based sharing, no messing around with user accounts. This team have done a great job of identifying a problem that all of us have and coming up with a simple solution

The only problem I can see with it is not being able to specify the timezone along with the time - I might be able to assume - or state in the comments - that they're in local time but this isn't always the case.

Thanks so much for your feedback Matt. We have basic timezone functionality in the customize feature. But we will work on making it more robust in the next release.

      We really appreciate your comments.

Not a bad idea for an app, but it does seem to be almost replicating the Outlook scheduling assistant. Not sure I'd actually use something like this in real life unless it was tightly integrated to one of the social media platforms I use.

Design is obviously bootstrap, although with a colour scheme and custom font applied. I'm not convinced green and blue was a good choice. There are a couple of UI quirks (for example, what is the + button for on the setup page? The things are added automatically from the calendar.. be consistent :)

On a functionality front, everything seems pretty much bulletproof, which is great, and the core feature set is clearly working. I would have liked to see the ability to log in with some form of OpenID (I prefer not to give out my email directly). Otherwise a good effort, even if it's not my kind of thing.

Looks like doodle, but with a clunkier interface and without some functionalities - to be honest I didn't actually like it - sorry :(

Thanks for checking it out and providing feedback. We wanted to add new functionality that doodle doesn't offer such as combined polling and scheduling, as well as location choices. We also wanted to offer users a tool that was a bit more business focused.
      We appreciate your comments :)
