It’s a virtualization of all German Chess Clubs. If you want to find a club in nearby you can search by your location. Additionally it’s possible to specify the needed keyfacts of the club, e.g. a minimum amount of members.
In Germany there are more than 2.600 Chess Clubs. Play a bit with the search and sliders in the filters section to get an idea of the richness in the world of German Chess Clubs. It should work with Javascript enabled browsers.
npm modules: express, ejs, mysql

joehewittWell, it is a solid project and well done for a solo team. But I think it is not really a node.js use case. :–(
pfinetteI can see the utility but am not completely blown-away by the fact that this is more or less a Google Maps mashup.
This doesn’t really do much of anything “innovative” with Node.js, but the execution is overall very well done. Design is solid, does what I expected, made me laugh with “Minimum Number of Females”. Would use again, if I were in Germany. ;)
mdeNice implementation. Solid design.
Implementation looks solid and quite complete. It’s not very innovative but for chess players (like me) it would be an awesome service to have in France. I hope this mashup makes them open their data!
mdeitersThough I don’t play chess, I could see this being useful to many chess players. The design was very clean and complete. It would have been great if I could add additional clubs
therazorbladeI’m not sure how is this different from every other map mashup. It is odd that the club info doesn’t show up in the bubble next to the pin. Not clear what the [x] means (remove from my list? erase from database?).
chrissharkeyThis is clearly a niche service but it looks good and is well executed. Very fast which I think is necessary for this kind of search, the design really makes it shine.
Love the design! The information popup with keyfacts of a club is very clear and easy to read.
Solid project!
