Sketcharound is a social drawing game where each person draws what the last person guessed. You’d be surprised where you’ll end up after twenty pictures.
To play, just visit the game’s website and log in with Facebook. Once logged in, you will be able to draw based on other people’s guesses and guess based on other people’s drawings.
Works best in WebKit browsers (Chrome, Safari). Also tested on Firefox v6. Not compatible with any version of Internet Explorer.
Note: Due to an uncaught bug, while playing you should click “refresh” after each round that you complete (either guessing or sketching). Playing multiple games in a row will cause guesses and sketches to be associated with the wrong game.

AnkurBulsaraDesign was very well done and had a lot of polish. Drawing was very smooth. This app was like a drawing version of the game ‘telephone’. It was not immediately clear how NodeJS was leveraged other than to serve the pages of the app. This app seemed more front-end intensive than backend.
samanthaquistFantastic design and UI! This looks really professional, very nicely done. It’s also a fun idea, I could imagine wasting a lot of time doing this :) — so nice job! It generally worked smoothly as well (though I was a little confused about how to get to guess what others have drawn, I never did find that feature). Still, it’s a good game and works nicely… VERY well done!
AudreyLoVery clean and easy to navigate website and good concept! What I would suggest is offering incentives to retain players (perhaps a point system of some sort or maybe they can earn some time of virtual currency to use). Other than that, you’re on a roll. Great work!
Great. Excepted some little issues… (inverts crap and android in the gallery for example … ! ) But excepted that, great One-Person Job !
adinardiInteresting little game. There definitely needs to be a little more guidance as to how to play and what to expect. It seems there’s some show stopping bugs, but it seems you generally know about them and are already fixing them — awesome! The one that kept throwing me off was I would hit “let’s play” and it would quickly show me the “what do you want someone to draw” screen and then show me a different one.
ragavanThis was a pretty fun game, easy to get started and engage with. I tried it out with my 5 year old and he had fun creating simple stick figures. I tried it out on Firefox and it worked great, fwiw. Would have been nice to have had a history of what you had guessed or sketched handy. I can also see how you might want to invite specific folks or almost do something like a Sketch with Friends where you have challenges, scores etc. Good work overall.
Tons of fun. A bunch of us at the office got a huge kick out of playing this together.
b00giZmThis entry is similar to “Doodle or Die” but with a sleeker interface. Even though, I found “Doodle or Die” a bit more entertaining than this one. Why interrupt the game flow by asking the user for the next step? It should be sketch –> guess –> sketch –> gues –> … I also got this annoying but forced me to re-sketch an already submitted topic and there is no way to skip this. But overall, it feels pretty stable and mature for a one man 48 hour project. But I give you credit, the drawing UI is what I wish I had in Doodle or Die. The Facebook integration is also very nice. This could become pretty viral when utilizing a user’s FB stream (like: “xxx wants you to sketch a peeing monkey” or else ;)
mstinaleeWhat a fun game! I’d totally play this with my friends!

dan_mangesFun game. Site looks great, especially for a solo project. No issues other than the bug acknowledged in the project description. The chat window is a nice way to make the game more social. Private sketches and persisted chat history would be nice additions to really complete this app.
codepo8Very nice, it is like the game telephone just with images. Implementation was slick and worked fine
jsjohnstAs is typical of multi-player games, without someone else playing there isn’t much to the game. Definitely could use a little game play workflow in general. Very clean design. Little disappointed to see Internal Server Errors though just clicking links.
“Picture telephone” has the potential to be a killer Facebook app, & I have a lot of old notes striving towards some version thereof. I think you’re on a solid path here, & you totally should stick with it.
Really psyched to see this.
therazorbladeThis is very impressive for a one person project. It is pretty complete. The UX can be improved to make it easier to navigate the different activities but its almost there. Same idea as Doodle or Die.
I really like this. I’ve showed it to a few ppl. You obviously know I was one of the first few to use it as you were deploying :) so I definitely find it fun. I wish it was a bit easier to draw (and had anti-aliasing)— kind of like the functionality that Processing provides in a java applet, but obviously still an awesome little game that I enjoy playing.
chrissharkeyRemarkably good given the time frame. Looks very professional and you can see this becoming a popular online game. Very fast and the interface itself is great to use. Well done, I think you have done a great job and hope you finish this and make it a real online service.
The design is spectacular, and feels great to use. Though some past games are weird to view, like there is a bug in what people see.
Super impressive for a one man effort.
I love it! I am impressed also that you made this all by yourself!
