Simple, pretty, and worked well. Audio on mobile was choppy but I think that was partly a feedback loop and partly the reality of using webRTC/getUserMedia on mobile. Desktop to desktop worked well. Similar idea to talky.io & vmux.co but audio only which is probably a good thing if you actually want to use it to get some work done.
Works well. Created me some good mosaics from both webcam and uploaded images. Next year: animated gif mosaics!
I had a lot of fun, recorded some wub wub wub and for one moment I was Reggie Watts. I had some problems when saving tracks and then not being able to record another one without reloading the page, but tons of fun nonetheless. I love the idea of getting musicians to GIT ALL THE THINGS, a noble goal indeed.
Yes, we encode sounds in background but we don't notify client about process end!
We're glad you like the idea! Thanks for your feedback!
Really slick proof of concept. The audio transcription for my conference was surreal and borderline offensive, but regardless it's a good idea well implemented.
Thanks! Yes, the voice recognition definitely needs some work. We appreciate the props on concept!
I really like the idea of a jsfiddle for data-vis. I grabbed a worldbank csv file but struggled to make any visualisations that made sense, but that may be just due to fact that meaningful data vis is hard, even with a good leg up like this.
<3 FFMPEG in the browser. Worked really well, so now everyone can get there gif on.
Fun, works well and pretty too. What's not to like. The bots kept disconnecting on me after about 30 seconds, which I tried not to take too personally, I guess they are busy too.
TouchCat is super cute and the promo site is slick. Being able to feed TouchCat with images is fun but pretty soon he kept bugging me to commit changes to .gitignore. I don't take version control advice from cats.
Good work, regardless.
Getting my phone to talk to the app worked well and the idea is interesting, but I wasn't able to get the tempo to change no matter how much I shook! Still, good work getting so much in so little time.
Love the idea. Spinning avatar cassette wheels is fun. Actually having to record your own voice is surprisingly terrifying, and it turns out my twitter feed is dull and I need to fix that. Would be nice to have more control to find interesting tweets, like digging them out of my favourites and having a next / prev buttons so you can go back once you realise there are no better tweets...
